R.E. Butts | Co-Founder

R.E. is a fourth-generation Jacksonian with a proven track record of building and scaling businesses across multiple industries. As the longtime leader of his family’s food distribution company, he spearheaded its expansion, increasing revenue by over $100 million through organic growth and strategic acquisitions before successfully exiting to private equity in 2020.

In 2018, he founded HPL Logistics & Cold Storage, recognizing the growing demand for specialized freight and temperature-controlled storage solutions. Under his leadership, HPL has grown into a major regional player, now generating $30 million in annual revenue and operating 300,000 square feet of commercial cold storage.

Building on his passion for real estate and development, R.E. launched Prosper in 2022, a comprehensive platform integrating real estate, home services, and construction. Prosper streamlines property development, management, and improvement services, positioning itself as a leader in the regional market.

Now fully focused on growing and scaling his real estate and logistics ventures, R.E. continues to leverage his expertise in business development, strategic acquisitions, and operational efficiency. Outside of work, he enjoys fly fishing, cooking, and is an avid golfer.
